What is included in the free beta?+
The beta includes ocean charts, fishing target searches, marine weather, trip planning, catch logging, and analytics. Access is free with no card required. The planned launch price is $5/month; you must explicitly opt in before billing begins.
Which species can I search for?+
Find Targets supports bluefin tuna, yellowfin tuna, and mahi. Each search uses the selected species, your home port, search range, and available ocean conditions to highlight promising areas.
Can I use Nereid on my phone?+
Yes. Nereid runs in your browser on phones, tablets, and computers. Use the same account to check conditions, review targets, and work on your trip plans. An internet connection is required to load new data.
What happens when a satellite pass is cloudy or stale?+
Source timestamps, coverage, and confidence help you judge the available picture. Cloud cover and gaps can affect observations; Nereid identifies fallback or unavailable data so you can weigh the evidence behind a target.
Does creating an account charge me?+
No. The Get started button creates your Nereid account. Account creation does not collect payment or start a paid subscription.
