Beta service terms

What Nereid provides

Nereid is a beta planning and recordkeeping service. Satellite observations, forecasts, model estimates, ranked fishing areas, and route calculations can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Habitat scores are not calibrated catch probabilities and do not certify safe passage.

Use current official charts, marine forecasts, local rules, and your own vessel limits. The operator remains responsible for navigation, departure decisions, fuel reserves, and conditions encountered underway.

Accounts and use

Keep your credentials private and use the service lawfully. Do not interfere with the service, access other accounts without permission, or upload content you are not entitled to use. You retain ownership of your trip records and notes; Nereid processes them to provide the service and your account features.

Beta access and pricing

Access is free during beta and does not require a card. The planned launch price is $5/month. No paid subscription starts without a separate, explicit opt-in and presentation of the applicable billing terms. Features and data coverage may change during the beta.

Leaving the service

You can export your records and delete your account in account settings. Keep an exported copy of plans you need offshore. The beta does not promise continuous availability or complete historical data.
